Throwback Thursday: The BEST Georgian Banana Pudding Recipe

If you’re craving a dessert that’s rich, creamy, and unmistakably Georgian, this banana pudding recipe is for you! Unlike your average banana pudding, this one has an extra touch of Southern decadence with the addition of cream cheese and Biscoff cookies. Trust me, just milk and bananas aren’t enough for this kind of creamy indulgence.

Ingredients:

  • 2 boxes (3.4 oz each) French Vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 2 packages of Biscoff cookies (for that extra Southern flair)
  • 6-7 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened (make sure it’s upside down for that secret magic!)
  • 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 8 oz container of Cool Whip, defrosted

Instructions:

Prep the Pan:
Start by lining the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan with a layer of Biscoff cookies. Slice up those bananas and layer them on top of the cookies. If you’re a fan of extra richness (and who isn’t?), go ahead and add more cookies and bananas for an extra boost of flavor.

Make the Pudding:
In a large bowl, whisk together the French Vanilla instant pudding mix and cold milk until smooth and thick.

Creamy Goodness:
In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Don’t worry if it looks a little curdled at first—just keep mixing until it’s silky smooth.

Combine & Fold:
Gently combine the pudding mixture with the cream cheese mixture, stirring until well-blended and divine. Fold in the defrosted Cool Whip to add that final layer of creaminess

Layer It Up:
Pour the pudding mixture over the cookies and bananas in the pan, spreading it evenly. Top with another layer of Biscoff cookies for that perfect crunch.

Voila!

Chill & Serve:
Refrigerate until ready to serve. This dessert only takes about 15 minutes to prepare but will leave your guests raving for days!

Pro Tip:
If you’re in a rush (like me) and making this for a potluck, a disposable pan is a lifesaver—no need to worry about picking up your container afterward.

Lower Calorie Swaps:

  • Swap the whole milk for skim milk
  • Use fat-free sweetened condensed milk
  • Opt for light Cool Whip
  • Substitute Neufchâtel cheese for cream cheese

This Georgian Banana Pudding was a hit at my husband’s potluck—it was the first dish gone! Some folks weren’t ready to say goodbye, and I don’t blame them. This quick, easy, and delicious dessert is perfect for the holiday season or any gathering where you want to impress with minimal effort.

Enjoy your creamy Southern treat!

Enjoy!
