The Salinas kids have become seasoned travelers, having visited 13 countries, numerous U.S. cities, and logged countless flights. These little road warriors now measure distance in in-flight movies and have spirited debates about the merits of Paris Disney versus Tokyo Disney.
Traveling with my kids is one of the greatest joys of parenting. There’s nothing quite like watching them discover the world through food, art, culture, and architecture. At home, our kids average 6,000 to 8,000 steps a day, but when we’re exploring new cities, that number often skyrockets to over 20,000 steps. Naturally, this leads to some common complaints:
- “My feet hurt.”
- “My legs are tired.”
- “Are we almost there?”
- “Can we stop and rest?”
